which style to choose?

I began studying the Cuban style 10 months ago, but many of my friends are dancing the LA style. I am not sure what is better, I am still wavering and do not know what to study. Could write me, please, about the modern trends in the field of salsa dance art?

Well, I would learn the style that most of your potential dance partners would be dancing. I live here in Los Angles, LA style is what most people do here.
