Learn Salsa At Your Own Pace (Part 1)
by: Salsa Dancing Addict

Each person is different will learn salsa faster or slower than others. You can learn the basic step in one night, but in general, it takes 6 weeks to learn the Basic 1 steps and 6 weeks to learn the Basic 2 steps. By that time, you have a good foundation to learn Salsa at an intermediate level.

Learn Salsa At Your Own Pace (Part 2)
by: Salsa Dancing Addict

The advanced level will take it up a notch. It takes all your fundamental steps and intermediate moves and combines them into the complicated moves that you see at salsa clubs. You'll need to have at least 3 months of Intermediate classes before learning at this level. You'll also need a good memory, a solid foundation of the basic steps, and a quick mind, because the pace of learning in this class is usually double that you see in the intermediate class.

You can dramatically reduce your time to learn salsa by going out dancing! I don't mean just taking more classes. You should go out to salsa clubs at least 2 or 3 times a week to accelerate your learning curve.
