Comments: A small bar with a medium size dance floor. Very easy to get to and in a safe area.
Latin Rhythmz DJed when I was there and did a great job mixing up good music.
All of the salseros were very friendly and fun to dance with.
Dancer skill ranged mostly from beginner to intermediate level and some at the intermediate/advanced level.
There is a beginner lesson, but it started late when I came. It was a beginner Merengue lesson, but I would have preferred a beginner salsa lesson so that my friends could have danced some salsa while there were there. However, it was a good Merengue lesson for beginners.
Keysters has hardwood floors. It was pretty slick wearing my dance shoes, but sticky in some areas. At the end of the night I had a lot of sticky goop on the bottom of my shoes. So if you are planning to wear dance shoes, don't wear your good shoes.
I give this place two thumbs up for the music, location, and the salseros! If you ever in Iowa, make sure to stop by Keysters.
